El Oro Way Charter for Enriched Studies Learning Community,
I hope that families enjoyed the El Oro Way PTA at the Fall Spooktacular on October 24th at the North Valley Chamber of Commerce for the annual fall event to wear costumes and participate in the fall activities such as trunk or treat, & games. Thank you to the hard working PTA volunteers to host fun events for the community!
El Oro Way is excited to continue our Kindness & Diversity initiative next week on Thursday, November 6, 2025. Students will enjoy a little taste of fresh fruits and veggies from around the world. **We are in need of your help donating fruits & veggies!** Please sign up to donate items here. Thank you!
Parent Teacher Conferences will be held next month. If you have not yet scheduled with your child’s teacher, please reach out to them. November 14, 17, 19-21, 2025 are all MINIMUM DAYS with dismissal at 12:53pm so that teachers can meet with parents and guardians. On MINIMUM DAYS, students get a “brunch” instead of recess and lunch. Also, be sure to arrange for your child to be picked up at the correct dismissal time.
We are still looking for parents to provide input on the school’s discretionary budget for the 2026/2027 school year. Please complete this Needs Assessment for 2026-2027 School Budget Development (Parents & Guardians) to participate. All are welcome to attend the school’s Local School Leadership Council on Monday, November 3, 2025 to discuss, examine and plan for the next school year.

Looking ahead, Tuesday, November 11, 2025 is Veterans’ Day and school is closed. As we commemorate the service of the armed forces, please note that Monday, November 10, 2025 is a regular school attendance day. Both LAUSD (our district) and California Department of Education (our funding source) are closely monitoring school attendance and emphasizing the need for students to attend all school days to best support their success. Please schedule family vacations on non-school days.
