Hello El Oro Way Charter for Enriched Studies Learning Community,
The annual state testing for students in grades 3-5 concluded with the ice cream sundae parties for excellent attendance during testing. Of the 8 classes that tested, 3 of them achieved 3 days of perfect attendance and earned vanilla and chocolate ice cream with sprinkles! All classes earned at least 1 scoop of ice cream. I hope for even better participation next school year.
For families that applied to the Summer of Learning program, we anticipate enrollment confirmation letters will go out to parents next week.
Please join us on Wednesday, June 4 @ 8:30 am for our final Parent Workshop in the Parent Center. Ms. Ibarra, PSW, will present ideas for Summer activities and how to maintain a healthy routine while out of school and enjoy the summer!
Letters for 5th grade families on procedures for Culmination Ceremony on the playground on Monday, June 9, 2025 have been sent home by the classroom teachers. Please reference the letter for details and follow up with your child’s teacher with any questions.
Kindergarten Celebrations will be on Tuesday, June 10, 2025. These ceremonies will be in the Auditorium. Room K4 (Kosla) will hold the event at 8:20am and Rooms K1 (Rayfiel) and K3 (Bermudez, Yaralian) will celebrate at 9:30am. The separate ceremonies allow for sufficient seating for everyone, and we do ask that you only attend the ceremony for your child’s class. Lines do tend to form early in the morning - so please be kind and respectful (displaying BEST Behavior) as you get ready for this exciting event.
In addition, there are a myriad of classroom celebrations in these last couple weeks of school so keep a look out for communication from your child’s teacher. The students and teachers have worked hard this year and the school is absolutely bursting with activities.
