I hope everyone is well rested from the weekend. This is a rare Monday update just to bring to your attention that the annual CA state testing starts this week. Starting on Tuesday, all of the students in Grades 3-5 will be taking the English Language Arts tests to demonstrate how much they have learned. Next week, they will be taking Math tests. Also, 5th graders only will be taking Science tests.
We ask for perfect attendance from all students always, but even more so for the testing dates. Students perform best when taking the test with their own teacher and classmates. We are holding an incentive for students to be here on testing days so that we can minimize make up testing. Please see details for the Ice Cream Incentive here and donations (checks only) are welcome to provide the fun treat for students in 3rd - 5th grades. Donors of $200 or more will be recognized on the banner for the event.

AND it is also Mental Health Awareness Week and so our PSW Ms. Ibarra is hosting activities to bring awareness to our school on Wednesday - Friday of this week. You can find details in the Mental Health Awareness Week flyer.
