Hello El Oro Way Charter for Enriched Studies Learning Community,
Students participated in Read Across America with literacy spirit days and guest readers shared books from around the world with classes. I got to share a few of my favorite books with some classes too!
Thank you to the parents that attended the parent workshop with Dr. March from CHLA. Her insight and wisdom continues to inspire my work with the students here. Please continue to complete the Annual School Experience Survey - our goal is to reach 93% participation from parents! At this time, 16% of parents have completed it. Students were recognized this week with certificates to celebrate their effort and achievement in reading and math. Students were presented with certificates for “Most Growth in the Class,” “Most Lessons Completed and Passed in the Class,” Achieving At or Above Grade Level,” and “Achieving at Top 10%.” I let them know that I will be back to recognize students who have already met their “Annual Growth” and “Annual Stretch Growth” as measured by the iReady Diagnostic Tests. Please encourage your child to continue to work carefully in the iReady MyPath to try their best. The teachers are working hard to prepare students for the annual state testing coming up at the end of April to show how much our students have learned this year.
We are hosting a Family Enrichment Event on Saturday, March 15, 2025, 9:00am - 10:30am in the Auditorium. Stop by with your child to play a math/strategy game and participate in the giveaway to continue engaging with your child.
