Thank you to all who attended the final volunteer training and PTA General Association Meeting this morning. Your participation enriches the school community!
Monday, February 24, 2025 is Spring Portrait Day. This additional school picture day allows children who came later in the school year to participate! All 5th grade students will have their picture taken for the Culmination certificates. TK-4th grade is optional. Be sure to send the order form and payment with your child on this day, if you would like your child to have their picture taken. Order forms went home last week.
Annual School Experience Survey - all families were sent emails with the link to the annual survey. Please complete this survey - the goal is to reach 93% participation from parents! For your convenience, you can complete the survey at this link: LAUSD School Experience Survey
Starting March 3, 2025, we will be celebrating Read Across America with literacy spirit days and guest readers sharing books from around the world with classes. Students and staff enjoy the literacy spirit days and we look forward to seeing the students get excited about reading through these events. Details are included in the attached flyer.
*Save the Date* Parent Workshop - Thurs, March 6 @ 8:15 am - We are excited to welcome Dr. Stephanie Marcy, PhD, ABPP, from Children’s Hospital, Los Angeles to share expertise about adolescent mental health and how to recognize and address anxiety in our children. Dr. Marcy is a Licensed Psychologist, Board Certified in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology; Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics; Keck School of Medicine of USC.
